The last leg of our travel. We had chosen Air Asia flight from KL to SYD. The only problem with Air Asia is that they do not offer free food or really free ANYTHING. So if you want to eat or drink or use the entertainment system during your flight you will have to pre-book it or pay on the spot which can be slightly more expensive. The prices onboard are quite cheap but they do not accept any card payment. They also do not provide any blankets or pillows for an overnight flight. A true Asian version of Ryanair except much nice customer service.

Arrived in Sydney without any issues. No hassle by customs. Everything went very smoothly. I was expecting some sort of questioning but nothing at all. Happy days! Sydney did not greet us with sunshine but with cloud and some drizzle rain. It did not bother me at all though. Nice and warm drizzle. The temperature is around 23 degrees and very humid, so it feels much hotter than it is.

The hostel I am staying in is called the Big Hostel. It looks good to me so far. Aircon in the room and lockers provided for valuables. Kitchen is pretty big so everyone can cook for themselves when necessary. Free wifi and and bed linen.

Got myself a postal address off a friend who lives in Sydney. Will try to sort out bank account, TFN number and local phone tomorrow.
